PUBLIC RELATIONS
This checklist, based on careful evaluation, can measure the effectiveness of your personality in terms of the public relations profession.
Rate each item "yes" or "no." Each "yes" counts for 4 points. A "no" doesn't count. Anything below 60 is a poor score. A score between 60 and 80 suggests you should analyze your weak areas and take steps to correct them. Scores above 80 indicate an effective public relations personality

- Enjoy helping other people resolve problems

- Enjoy reading in diverse areas
- Determined to complete projects
- High energy level
- Can cope with sudden emergencies
- See mistakes as learning experiences
- Factual and objective
- Respect other people's viewpoints
- Perceptive and sensitive
- Quickly absorb and retain information

I scored 68.. not bad though!
Its all good. The point is that these are the points that makes a person effective in Public Relations. Especially the formal ones !
The important thing is not to score above or below any benchmark. It all depends on that particular situation where u in? in a multicultural environment, i think the most important thing is to know the 'Non'Verbal' Communication, coz it is 55% of your total communication. Moreover, i think public relationing is an art and u cant learn it, it is the instinct, though u can groom it. Agree?

yes I do agree and I dont agree. It is an art, however it can be learnt. I believe one can learn anything but it maybe a mission for one while peice of cake for another. And yeah it does depend on the culture and situation. But these points are the commons, say Good sense of humor, respect other people's view or enjoy being with people. I think it can apply to any or many cultures and situtations.

I srored 96 plus and well I am from PR, Communications and Media Profession...this checklist is helpful and I have kept it with me as a record to check my ratings each month...Good search!!

96 !! thats awesome ! *he/she must be talkative* *whistling*. Um studying software engineering, and also applying some of my abilities in a form of contract job to the related field :)
